    • Check for updates in a background thread

It's really annoying to have the update-checker freezing the UI every time you open the application.
If I have to open it several times I get interrupted every time for a few seconds.
Can't that be done in the background and maybe display a toast instead of a modal dialog?
It's not like everyone wants to update everything right after an update is available.

      • Advance to next or previous search item

Either allow one to click on the search item in the Search window without the dialog disappearing, or have an arrow button and hotkey that lets you advance to the next or previous line or file in the search results.

        • enhance search filtration

The combined Search interface is good, but the search filtration system is a bit cumbersome. In general I think one knows whether one is searching for a type/member/property/namespace/method/string etc, and the super-advanced combination filtration system is probably overkill.

I suggest adding a system to allow one to quickly identify the scope of the search within the search box, when the advanced filtration system is more than is needed. Some examples:

          type:guid
          method:execute
          property:isempty
          namespace:search.dictionary
member:potato <- searches properties, fields and methods
class:monkey <- only types that are classes
struct:flapjack <- only types that are structs
          enum:pancake <- I think you…

            • Consider ILONLY flag when determining whether to show assembly as "Any CPU"

I have an assembly for which which CorFlags.exe shows that ILONLY is false. I am not 100% sure about this but it is my understanding that mixed (managed and native code) assemblies cannot be "Any CPU", but JustDecompile is showing "Any CPU" next to the assembly name.

              • Dock Side Windows

I need to dock left side windows so that I have a larger view of code (class explorer window, assembly info windows). Like most IDEs provide. Thanks

                • Not a suggestion, just a solution to a proxy problem

This is not a suggestion, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, but to have JustDecompile contacting the update server, I have to manually remove a line from the .config file in:
                  C:\Program Files (x86)\Telerik\JustDecompile\Libraries\JustDecompile.exe.config

                  The line is the following
                  <proxy autoDetect="True"/>

Otherwise no connection is made between local machine and server (Fiddler shows no outbound connection)

                  • Horizontal scroll

It's great that you have zooming option for each tab but that would be awesome if you implement:
                    1) horizontal scroll with mouse wheel
                    2) text wrapping
                    3) horizontal scroll with left/right keys
And by the way. Please do something with key focus. I mean when I mouse clicked inside tab and then clicked arrow key it interprets this as if I wanted to change my position in assembly tree. When in fact I wanted to scroll it a bit.
                    Thanks a lot.

                    • Generate PDB: Add settings for pdb-generation path alongside the source generation path

                      After I reported this bug:
"[..] I just realized that [the error] only seems to happen when I change the PDB generation paths to a custom directory somewhere on my hard drive and then tried to generate the pdb into the same folder."

which got confirmed by a Telerik developer, I though of this UI change:

"How about adding a second setting in the "pdb generation" tab for the pdb-output path just below the source path setting?
There you can validate that the pdb output path is not the same as the source output path and also you could probably…

For example, I want to type:

                        and get results like this:

                              • A Config file to remove modules that crash application startup

Ok when a user tries to open a deeply obfusticated module/application their will be a popup error and sometimes when the popup shows the application asks for user confirmation like "Ok" "accept" with a huge error than the Application will crash, so what im saying is create a way that the user can remove loaded modules from a config file to stop it from crashing.

The error i have that crashes the application is:

                                • Dont Open and Show New Version Dialog - instead notify via menu bar

Each time i run your tool it often shows a dialog over the top of my assemblies view while I am working - about a new version or something similar.

Its like a child that wants my constant attention - and it is annoying. Please put the notifications either in my tray (windows 7 +) or implement a polite notifications popup in the app itself.

                                  • Mixed display: See C# (or VB) mixed with IL

It would be nice to have a single display where you can see what IL code is generated from each C# (or VB) code line.

                                    • AssemblyList should be managed separately from the currently loaded assemblies

It's annoying that adding/removing assemblies in a session automatically affects a saved assembly list. This is not convenient as the lists are continuously changed without prompting.

There should be a separate management UI for these Lists.

                                      • Do not unload a DLL when the file on disk is deleted.

When I rebuild a DLL the original file gets deleted and JD shows me a dialog box alerting me to that fact.
Eventually the DLL is recreated, but by now I have to tell JD to load the DLL again from scratch.

I would rather have a model where the decompiled version of the DLL stays in JD (just like it happens in Reflector).
I would also accept a model where JD automatically reloads a DLL when the file changes on disk (perhaps with an option to do it automatically or on demand).

                                        The only one I don't like is…

                                        • display/hide Assembly List

that would be great if there is a button in toolbar to display/hide the Assembly List at the left side.
